In my late twenties, while working full time in banking and raising a family, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, graduating summa cum laude. It was not easy, but it was driven as much by a genuine love of learning as by discipline. That love of learning has never left me, and it is very much at the heart of how I approach Jyotish today.

 

Around 2018, after nearly two decades in banking and fintech, I began to feel that there was something more meaningful I could be doing. I started exploring, following my curiosity wherever it led. In 2020 I discovered Vedic astrology, and it felt right. So I started learning.

 

In 2021, I began formal study of Jyotish under Joni Patry through the University of Vedic Astrology (UVA), earning my Master of Arts in Jyotish in 2022. After graduating, I went on to tutor fellow UVA students until 2025, wanting to give something back by supporting others who felt called to learn this beautiful science of light. I continue to attend UVA webinars today, staying connected to the UVA community. Vedic astrology is a rich and layered science, and there is always something new to discover or a technique to revisit with fresh perspective.

 

In 2025, I deepened my compatibility work by studying with Simon Chokoisky and becoming certified in his approach to relationship astrology. The software nerd in me found his development of dedicated compatibility software fascinating. This work draws on both traditional Vedic and modern Western astrological techniques, combining them into a detailed analysis of relationship dynamics across romantic, family, business, and personal connections.

 

In 2025, my curiosity led me to explore energy healing, and I received certification in First and Second Degree Evolutionary Reiki. It was a personal journey rather than a professional one, and it has deepened my own sense of spiritual awareness in ways that quietly inform everything I do.

 

For me, looking at a birth chart is a form of meditation. I lose myself in the discovery and the potential that each chart carries. The awareness that a reading can bring has a real capacity to help a person navigate their own energy more consciously, and I believe we can all benefit from understanding ourselves more deeply in this way.
